Tokyo Iced Tea Cocktail Recipe

It is unknown when, where, and who added Midori green melon liqueur to a Long Island Iced Tea to create Tokyo Iced Tea cocktail. The Tokyo Iced Tea does not appear in any of the cocktail books of the 1980s, but its first printed appearance appears in 2007.

INGREDIENTS

15 ml/ ½ oz. Midori melon liqueur
15 ml/ ½ oz. white Rum
15 ml/ ½ oz. Vodka
15 ml/ ½ oz. Gin
15 ml/ ½ oz. Tequila silver
15 ml/ ½ oz. Triple Sec.
30 ml/ ¼ oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
60 ml/ 2 oz. Sprite or 7up, to top

METHOD

Shake the spirits and juice in an ice-filled cocktail shaker (except for the lemonade).
Strain into ice-filled glass.
Top with Sprite or 7up and stir briefly.
Garnisch with a lemon slice wheel.
And serve with a straw.
