EGG NOG COCKTAIL Recipe

This vintage Egg Nog cocktail is literally a thickened alcoholic milkshake flavoured with Cognac and Rum. Egg Nog is a vintage Christmas libation and George Washington, America’s first President famously made his own. So it’s time to make your own Egg Nog too.

INGREDIENTS

  • 25 ml/ ⅚ oz. Cognac (Brandy)
  • 25 ml/ ⅚ oz. Caribbean Rum
  • 10 ml/ ⅓ oz. sugar syrup
  • 25 ml/ ⅚ oz. milk
  • 1 fresh egg (white & yolk)

METHOD

  1. Pour all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice cubes.
  2. Shake and strain back into shaker.
  3. Now dry shake (without ice) and fine strain into ice-filled glass.

Because the Aperol Spritz is now refined with a very special ingredient – giving it a festive update. I will show you how you can easily conjure up a Christmas drink at home.

INGREDIENTS

  • 40 ml/ 1 ⅓  oz. Aperol
  • 60 ml/ 2 oz. Prosecco
  • 15 ml/ ½ oz. cranberry syrup
  • 1 splash of sparkling water
  • 5 ice cubes

METHOD

  1. For the Christmas Aperol Spritz, first fill ice cubes into a decorative glass of our choice and add Aperol and Prosecco.
  2. Now comes the twist: the cranberry syrup gives the Aperol Spritz its Christmassy, ​​sweet note.
  3. Finally, add a small splash of mineral water to make the drink fizz nicely and stir for about 5 seconds.
  4. Decorate with an orange slice and few sprigs of rosemary.

The Illegal cocktail is a delicious Mezcal-based cocktail. It takes quite some ingredients to mix this complex drink which makes it so well-balanced. The Illegal cocktail can be served in one of two ways: 1. straight up (no ice) in a chilled cocktail glass or 2. on the rocks (over ice) in a traditional clay or terracotta mug.

INGREDIENTS

  • 30 ml / 1 oz. Mezcal
  • 15 ml/ ½ oz. Jamaika overproof Rum
  • 15 ml/ ½ oz. Falernum
  • 1 barspoon marschino liqueur
  • 22,5 ml/ ¾ oz. freshly sqeezed lime juice
  • 15 ml/ ½ oz. simple syrup
  • few drops of egg white (optional)

METHOD

  1. Pour all ingredients into shaker with ice and shake.
  2. Strain into chilled cocktail glass, or “on the rocks” into a traditional clay or terracotta mug.
