French 75 Cocktail Recipe

The popular story of the provenance of the French 75 is that British soldiers stationed in France during the First World War put together the key ingredients at their disposal – London gin from home and the local champagne – to create a punchy drink, which they named after the iconic French M1897 75mm artillery gun.

INGREDIENTS

  • 30 m l/ 1 oz. Gin
  • 20 ml / ¾ oz. freshly squeezed lemon
  • 15 ml / ½  oz. sugar syrup
  • 90 ml / 3 oz. Champagne

METHOD

  1. Combine all ingredients in shaker, excluding Champagne.
  2. Shake!
  3. Strain into champagne flute.
  4. Top it with champagne.
  5. Garnish with a lemon twist.

VESPER COCKTAIL RECIPE

James Bond might be forever associated with the Martini (shaken, of course), but true cocktail pros and Bond lovers alike also know about the Vesper. The cocktail, often called The Vesper, is a cocktail of Gin, Vodka, and Lillet. The author Ian Fleming invented the cocktail for his novel character James Bond, who ordered him in the 1953 novel Roman Casino Royale.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 parts Gin
  • 1 part Vodka
  • ½  part Lillet
  • 1 dash Angostura

METHOD

  1. Combine all ingredients in shaker.
  2. Shake!
  3. Strain into chilled cocktail glass.
  4. Garnish with a thin lemon.

GREEN SEX MACHINE COCKTAIL Recipe

Whether you mutated after the enjoyment of the cocktail to Sex Maschine is an open question. Green Sex Machine is a sparkling cocktail of the clear, green Midori Melon Liqueur, Lime Juce and Champagne.

INGREDIENTS

  • 30 ml / 1 oz. Midori melon liqueur
  • 15 ml / ½ oz. Lime Juice
  • 120 ml / 4 oz. Champagne

METHOD

  1. Put all ingredients with ice in a cocktail glass.
  2. Stir the ingredients.
  3. Garnish with a mint leaf and a melon slice.

NOTES

Midori is a sweet, bright green-coloured, muskmelon-flavored liqueur made by Suntory. It is manufactured in Japan, the United States, Mexico, and France. It was made exclusively in Japan until 1987. Midori is typically 20–21% alcohol by volume. It´s name is the Japanese word for “green”. The Midori formulated in France is sweeter than the original Japanese version.

INGREDIENTS

  • 30 ml / 1 oz. Vodka
  • 30 ml / 1 oz. Blue Curaçao

METHOD

The Piña Colada is a sweet, creamy cocktail of Rum, coconut syrup, cream and pineapple juice. It is the name of a whole group of cocktails, the Coladas. The Piña Colada became popular in the 1950s and is one of the world’s most famous cocktails.

  • 40 ml / 1 ⅓ oz. black Rum
  • 40 ml / 1 ⅓ oz. cream
  • 40 ml / 1 ⅓ oz. coconut syrup
  • 90 ml / 3 oz. pineapple juice

METHOD

  1. Put all ingredients with ice in a shaker and shake.

EL DIABLO COCKTAIL recipe

One of the most iconic cocktails in the Tequila canon features Crème de Cassis, Ginger Ale and lime juice.

INGREDIENTS

  • 45 ml/ 1½ oz. Tequila Silver
  • 15 ml/ ½ oz. Crème de Cassis
  • 120 ml / 4 oz. Ginger Ale
  • 1 fresh lime

METHOD

  1. Put some ice cubes in a big long drink glass.
  2. Halve the lime, squeeze the juice into the glass and add two slices of lime.
  3. Add the Tequila and Crème de Cassis and mix well with the bar spoon.
  4. Fill up with Ginger Ale and stir again briefly.

MOSCOW MULE COCKTAIL Recipe

A Moscow Mule is a cocktail made with Vodka spicy Ginger Beer and lime juice, garnished with a slice or wedge of cucumber. The Moscow mule is popularly served in a copper mug, which takes on the cold temperature of the liquid.

INGREDIENTS

  • 60 ml/ 2 oz. Vodka
  • 15 ml/ ½ oz. lime juice, freshly sqeezed
  • 180 ml/ 6 oz. Ginger Beer
  • slice of cucumber

METHOD

  1. Squeeze lime juice into a Moscow Mule mug (or a Collins glass) and drop in the spent shell.
  2. Add 2 or 3 ice cubes, then pour in the vodka and fill with cold ginger beer (not ginger ale, although what the hell).
  3. Garnish with a slice of cucumber.

There are many things to love about the Tequila Sunrise. It is easy to mix up at a moments notice, it is beautiful to look at, it is a refreshingly fruity cocktail, and, of course, there’s Tequila!

INGREDIENTS

  • 40 ml / 1 ⅓  oz. Tequila
  • 10 ml / ⅓ oz. lemon juice
  • 120 ml / 4 oz. orange juice
  • 10 ml / ⅓ oz. Grenadine syrup 
  • Garnish: Orange slice and maraschino cherry

METHOD

  1. Pour the Tequila, the lemon juice and the orange juice into a glass filled with ice cubes.
  2. Stir the ingredients.
  3. Slowly pour the Grenadine around the inside edge of the glass. It will sink and gradually rise to mix with the other ingredients.
  4. Garnish with an orange slice and cherry.

Jack Daniel`s says: Lychburg , home of Jack Daniel’s, has been a Dry County since 1909. That means for us: We must not serve alcohol. That’s why we serve our guests a warm welcome with a cold glass of our homemade lemonade. But among us: she is even better with a decent shot of Jack.

INGREDIENTS

  • 40 ml / 1 ⅓ oz. Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7
  • 10 ml / ⅓ oz. Triple Sec.
  • 2 lime slices
  • 1 lemon slices
  • 1 lemon spiral
  • lemonade

METHOD

Pour into a glass with ice cubes 40 ml JACK and 10 ml Triple Sec. Add the juice of a lemon and a lime, shake the glass and then fill with lemonade. As a garnish use a lemon spiral and lime slice
