The China Blue cocktail was emerged in Japan in the late 1990s and is still popular along the Pacific Rim. The cocktail looks sweet, but due to a generous splash of grapefruit is actually balanced and refreshing.
The cocktail Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said is named after science fiction novel of the same name of the year 1974 by American writer Philip K. Dick. The novel is set in a futuristic dystopia where the United States has become a police state in the aftermath of a Second American Civil War. The story follows genetically enhanced pop singer and television star Jason Taverner who wakes up in a world where he has never existed. If that’s too complicated for you, the cocktail definitely exists.

Yellow Chartreuse (40% alcohol) was introduced in the 1800’s and is a milder, sweeter flavour and aroma than it’s older brother.
The Appletini, also known as the Apple Martini, is an apple-flavored cocktail. It became popular in the 1990s when, alongside the Cosmopolitan, numerous fruity short drinks became fashionable, many of which had the word “Martini” in their names. Like their role model, the classic Martini cocktail, they are served in a Y-shaped glassbut have little in common with a real Martini in terms of taste and ingredients.
INGREDIENTS
45 ml/ 1½ oz. Absolut Vodka
20 ml/ ⅔ oz. Calvados
25 ml/ ¾ oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice
20 ml/ ⅔ oz apple juice
20 ml/ ⅔ oz sugar syrup
METHOD
Pour all ingredients into shaker with ice cubes.
Shake well.
Fine strain into chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with an apple slice.
NOTES
The Appletini is the favorite drink of protagonist John “J.D.” Dorian in the TV series Scrubs, who ironically mistakes it for a hard drink and ordered him “with less Martini”. Alan Harper and Walden Schmidt from Two and a Half Men and Ted Mosby from How I Met Your Mother also drink it occasionally. In the King of Queens episode “Happy Hour,” Leah Remini as Carrie Heffernan enjoys some Appletini after work.

15 ml/ ½ oz. Peachtree peach schnapps

The Ono Cocktail is a cocktail made with beer. Opinions differ on whether to pour beer into cocktails. But my Astra salesman Jan emailed me this great recipe. The Hamburg Astra beer, mixed with cranberry juice and French Calvados, results in a very refreshing cocktail that you should definitely try. After that, one can only say: Yes, beer is good in sparkling cocktails.

60 ml/ 2 oz. Astra Urtyp German beer
60 ml/ 2 oz. cranberry juice
10 ml/ ⅓ oz. Calvados

The Haps Flip is a cocktail from the GDR. A country that has not existed since 1990. The cocktail comes from the TV show HAPS from the TV studio in Rostock and was actually made to promote a blender. Unfortunately, there weren’t that many cocktail ingredients in the GDR and what was available was used. The result was probably the most disgusting cocktail in the world. Nowadays there are many delicious cocktails from Rostock – please just watch to my YouTube channel and subscribe.
