The Bijou cocktail (French for jewel) is an alcoholic cocktail made from Gin, red Vermouth, Green Chartreuse and orange bitters. It is a short drink and is served in a cocktail glass. INGREDIENTS
- 30 ml/ 1 oz. Gin
- 30 ml/ 1 oz. Green Chartreuse
- 30 ml/ 1 oz. Martini Rosso sweet Vermouth
- 1 dash of Orange bitters by Angostura
METHOD
- Pour all ingredients into mixing glass with ice cubes and stir well.
- Strain into chilled Martini glass.
- Garnish with an lemon zest twist.
NOTES
Fun fact, “bijou” is French for “jewel”. Gin is diamond, Green Chartreuse is emerald, and sweet Vermouth is ruby.
